‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ Announces Dussehra Release On October 9; ‘Aaja Meri Jaani’ Released By Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad

An unexpected turn of events forms the core of Chitralayam Studios’ upcoming new-age crime comedy ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’. Bringing together crime, comedy, eccentric characters and a series of surprising situations, the film promises to deliver a fresh and entertaining experience for audiences.

Presented by Donepudi Chakrapani and produced by Venu Donepudi under the Chitralayam Studios banner, the film is directed by Guni Manchikanti. The cast includes Tinnu Anand, Upendra Limaye, George Maryan, Akshay Lagusani, Vishnu Oi, Karthikeya, Vismayasri, Malvi Malhotra, Kasyap, Raja Ravindra and others in prominent roles.

The film has another interesting distinction to its credit. ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ is the first South Indian film to be shot entirely in Meghalaya. The production team travelled through various parts of the state, capturing its spectacular landscapes and natural beauty, including the picturesque locations of Cherrapunji.

The film’s teaser had earlier created curiosity by introducing its quirky characters and offering glimpses of the unusual situations that drive the story. Its fast-paced treatment, comic elements and unexpected twists gave audiences a peek into the film’s distinctive world.

The makers have now announced that ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ will have its grand theatrical release on October 9, coinciding with the Dussehra festive season. The team also unveiled the first lyrical song, ‘Aaja Meri Jaani’, marking the beginning of the film’s musical promotions. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad launched the song.

Devi Sri Prasad appreciated the song’s energetic and youthful vibe and congratulated the team for attempting a unique concept. He also wished the film and its entire team a successful theatrical journey.

‘Aaja Meri Jaani’ Adds Colour and Energy

‘Aaja Meri Jaani’ is a lively party number featuring Akshay Lagusani and Vishnu Oi. With vibrant visuals, energetic performances and a catchy rhythm, the song brings a celebratory mood to the film’s promotions.

Electronic Kili and Arcado have composed the music, while Kittu Vissapragada has penned the lyrics. Benny Dayal’s powerful and energetic vocals add to the song’s appeal, complementing its peppy beats and youthful composition.

The makers have designed the song as a fun-filled musical number with a strong youth appeal, making it an energetic start to the film’s music promotions.

Producer Venu Donepudi said, “We are pleased to have successfully completed the shoot of ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’, which is centred around a very interesting incident. The post-production activities are now nearing completion, and we are preparing for a grand theatrical release on October 9 during the Dussehra festive season.

“Filming the entire movie in Meghalaya is a memorable achievement for our team. We explored several beautiful locations across the state, including Cherrapunji, and the experience has given the film a distinctive visual identity. With proper planning and the dedicated efforts of everyone involved, we completed the shoot within the planned schedule.
