Story:

“Aaj Ka Goonda Raaj” is a 1992 Indian Hindi-language action crime film starring Chiranjeevi and Meenakshi Sheshadri in lead roles. The movie is a remake of the 1991 Telugu film “Gang Leader” and marked Chiranjeevi’s second foray into Bollywood. The film delves into themes of exploitation by criminal elements and the influence of group mentality.

The protagonist, Raja, is depicted as an educated, principled, honest, and fearless individual who is currently unemployed. He spends his time with his four friends, a lifestyle that concerns his father and elder brothers, Amar and Ravi.

Financial difficulties plague the family, particularly because Ravi is preparing for his IAS examination, which requires funds they lack. To generate income, Raja and his friends take on a job of evicting Shalu, an illegal tenant in a property. Initially successful, Raja’s life takes a complicated turn when Shalu not only resists eviction but also moves into his house permanently.

Tejpal and Nagpal, influential figures, manage to arrange Ritu’s marriage to Ravi, who is on the brink of becoming a collector due to his impending IAS appointment. The villains believe this to be a perfect strategy: Saxena’s sister marrying Raja’s brother. Raja resists this plan but finds himself in a precarious situation. Numerous conflicts with the antagonists ensue, leading to the tragic deaths of Raja’s friends and his eldest brother, Amar. In the face of this adversity, Raja and Ravi uncover the truth about Tejpal and Nagpal, motivating them to unite and put an end to the reign of terror.
