Daisy Bopanna is an Indian actress known for her roles in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil films. Hailing from Kodagu, she completed her education at Aurobindo School, pursued pre-university studies at Kumarans College, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Chitrakala Parishat in Bangalore, Karnataka. In 2011, she tied the knot with Amit Jaju.
Daisy’s journey in the entertainment industry began with theater, where she briefly worked with B. Jayashree’s Spandana theater camp, as well as in contemporary English theater. Her film debut came with “Bimba” in 2002, a movie directed by Kavitha Lankesh that shed light on the exploitation of child artists in the film industry.
“Bimba” was showcased at the Berlin & Frankfurt Film Festival and received international recognition. Her later work in “Bhagawan” (2004) alongside Darshan earned her the nickname ‘Spicy Daisy.’ Before the release of “Bimba” in 2004, Daisy also worked as a presenter for the television series “Top Drive,” which aired on Star World for nearly a year.
