Venkata Prabhu Prasad, often known as Saptagiri, is an Indian actor and comedian who appears in Telugu movies. He was born on May 1, 1989. He won the Nandi Award for Best Male Comedian in 2016 for his performance in Express Raja. At the 15th Santosham Film Awards in 2017, he was presented with the Santosham Allu Ramalingaiah Smarakam Award.
Saptagiri was born and raised in the Andhra Pradesh village of Irala in the Chittoor district. His father worked as a guard for the forest service. Venkata Prabhu Prasad was Saptagiri’s birth name, but he changed it following an incident at Tirumala.
Sapthagiri relocated to Hyderabad to pursue his acting profession, where he battled for a long time before finding success. He began his acting career in Bhaskar’s film Bommarillu, for which he had previously served as an assistant director. Saptagiri was given the opportunity to play a comic part. In terms of pay and popularity, he became known as a “Mini Brahmanandam” for his work in low-budget comedies.
Saptagiri, who began his professional life as an assistant director before transitioning to acting. He appeared in many movies as a comic. In the 2016 film Saptagiri Express, he made his acting debut as a lead. He played the lead in Sapthagiri LLB in 2017.
He stated his intention to run for office in Andhra Pradesh on the Telugu Desam Party’s behalf in June 2023.
