Courier Boy Kalyan

Story:

Courier Boy Kalyan, a 2015 Indian Telugu-language action thriller directed by Premsai, an erstwhile assistant to Prabhu Deva, is produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon under Photon Kathaas and Guru films banners. Drawing inspiration from David Koepp’s 2012 Hollywood film “Premium Rush,” the movie features Nitin and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles.

The film, with a compelling score and soundtrack by Karthik, was simultaneously filmed in Tamil as “Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum” with Jai in the lead role. Released on September 17, 2015, it was later dubbed in Hindi under the same title.

The narrative unfolds with a corrupt doctor (Ashutosh Rana) involved in selling illegal medicines and smuggling stem cells. Following police scrutiny in London, he relocates to India to continue his nefarious activities.

The protagonist, Kalyan (Nithin), an unemployed orphan with a discontinued degree, lives with his sister (Surekha Vani) and brother-in-law (Harsha Vardhan). Love blossoms when he delivers a courier to Kavya (Yami Gautam), but she reveals an existing romantic interest. Undeterred, Kalyan takes a job as a courier boy to be close to her.

To maintain his connection, he resorts to delivering fake couriers, all while the corrupt doctor plots his sinister activities, targeting unborn infants.

As the doctor’s heinous plans unfold, Kalyan’s sister becomes unwittingly entangled in the dangerous web. A mysterious man overhears the plot and sends a crucial courier to Sathya Murthy (Nassar), intercepted by Kalyan. The ensuing chase, coupled with the doctor’s ruthless pursuit, forms the crux of the story. Kalyan’s mission becomes pivotal as he strives to deliver the courier, exposing the doctor’s crimes and ensuring justice prevails.
