Varudu Kaavalenu

Story:

“Varudu Kaavalenu” (transl. Groom Wanted) is a romantic comedy film in the Indian Telugu language released in 2021. It was directed by Lakshmi Sowjanya and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments. The movie features Ritu Varma and Naga Shaurya in the lead roles.

Plot

Bhoomi operates an environmentally friendly startup in Hyderabad. Her mother, Prabhavati, is eager for her to marry and is actively seeking a suitable groom, but Bhoomi is hesitant about marriage. Aakash, a successful architect in Paris, decides to travel to India to find a life partner.

The owner of Bhoomi’s startup is a friend of Aakash’s father, and Bhoomi and Aakash meet at his house. Despite initial disinterest from Bhoomi, Aakash becomes intrigued by her and wants to travel with her. He later becomes an architect for a project led by Bhoomi.

At Bhoomi’s office, two employees face a dilemma as the girl is an orphan and the boy’s family wants him to marry into a wealthy family. Aakash convinces the boy’s parents to accept the girl, which impresses Bhoomi, and she starts enjoying his company.

Aakash helps catch a thief who stole Prabhavati’s purse, and they discuss love and marriage without realizing they are talking about each other. Bhoomi advises Aakash to pretend to move away from his lover to make her confess her feelings. However, when Bhoomi tries to express her feelings to Aakash, he lies about returning to his hometown to find a bride. This upsets Bhoomi, who reveals that she had feelings for Aakash in college but was hurt when she overheard him speaking negatively about love. She also realizes that she has been molding her lifestyle to match Aakash’s preferences.

Prabhavati suggests that Bhoomi can find a better match if she wishes, knowing that Bhoomi’s previous romantic interest did not work out. Bhoomi and Aakash later travel to Araku to oversee the marriage preparations of the employees. Despite Aakash’s attempts to express his feelings, Bhoomi remains distant and agrees to an engagement arranged by her mother.

On the day of the engagement, Bhoomi is surprised to see Aakash there, as he was invited by Prabhavati. Prabhavati advises Bhoomi that if she loves someone, she should let them know, as she will never find answers without asking questions. Both Bhoomi and Aakash are left feeling happy after this encounter.
