Biography:

Karthi, whose full name is Karthik Sivakumar, is a popular Indian actor who predominantly works in the Tamil film industry. He was born on May 25, 1977, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Karthi is the younger son of renowned actor Sivakumar and the younger brother of actor Suriya.

Before entering the film industry, Karthi pursued his education and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Crescent Engineering College, Chennai. After completing his studies, he worked as a graphic designer in the United States for a brief period.

Karthi made his acting debut with the Tamil film “Paruthiveeran” in 2007, directed by Ameer Sultan. The film was a critical and commercial success, and Karthi’s performance as the village youth in a complex love story garnered him widespread acclaim. He won several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Actor, for his debut performance.
