Kallichanda Prasad Nishan Nanaiah, often known by his stage name Nishan, is an Indian actor who has primarily acted in Malayalam films, as well as Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu productions. Nishan, a graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune, was raised in Calcutta after being born in Coorg, Karnataka.

He grew up in West Bengal’s Kolkata. He was a professional tennis player who competed in numerous All India and National events while playing for Calcutta University. He completed his postgraduate studies in acting at the Pune Film Institute (FTII) after earning his degree in mass communication from St. Xavier’s College in Kolkata. Nishan is proficient at learning languages and dialects and speaks six languages.
