Story:

“Dev” is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language romantic action-adventure film marking the directorial debut of Rajath Ravishankar. The film features Karthi and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles, supported by Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles.

Harris Jayaraj has composed the music for the film, marking his first collaboration with Karthi. Cinematography is handled by R. Velraj, while Anthony L. Ruben takes charge of editing.

Initially slated for release around Christmas and later during Thai Pongal, the film’s release was postponed due to tough competition at the box office. Eventually, it hit theaters on February 14, 2019, coinciding with Valentine’s Day. The film premiered in the United States a day before its release in India.

Upon its release, “Dev” received mixed reviews from critics, prompting the makers to trim its duration post-release.
