Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendar, often referred to as Simbu or by his initials S.T.R., and popularly known as “Little Super Star,” is an Indian actor, filmmaker, and musician primarily active in the Tamil film industry. He is the eldest son of the renowned actor and director T. Rajendar. His journey in the world of acting commenced with childhood roles in movies directed by his father, ultimately leading to his debut as a lead actor in his father’s film “Kadhal Azhivathillai” in 2002.
Born on February 3, 1983, in Thogarapalli, Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, Silambarasan is the eldest child of T. Rajendar and Usha Rajendar. He has a younger brother named Kuralarasan and a sister named Ilakiya. From a young age, he has been a devout Hindu and a fervent devotee of Lord Shiva.
Silambarasan received his education at Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai. Later, he pursued his studies at Loyola College, Chennai. As a child, Silambarasan featured in several of his father’s films until 2002, when he took on his first leading role as a hero in his father’s movie “Kadhal Azhivathillai.”
