Story:

“Vaanam” is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed and written by Krish. This movie is actually a remake of Krish’s own Telugu film, “Vedam” (2010), which starred Allu Arjun, Manchu Manoj, and Anushka Shetty.

“Vaanam” boasts an ensemble cast, including Silambarasan, Bharath, Anushka Shetty, Prakash Raj, Saranya Ponvannan, Sonia Agarwal, and Santhanam.

The film’s music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while Nirav Shah handled the cinematography and Anthony Gonsalves managed the editing. Produced by VTV Ganesh and R. Ganesh under VTV Productions and Magic Box Pictures, it was distributed by Dayanidhi Azhagiri’s Cloud Nine Movies.

“Vaanam” is a hyperlink cinema film that weaves a narrative centered on the lives of five people from diverse backgrounds, symbolizing the five natural elements: aether, air, water, fire, and earth.

The movie demonstrates how their destinies become interconnected on New Year’s Eve at a Chennai hospital. It premiered on April 29, 2011, and received widespread critical praise, enjoying a successful 100-day run at the box office.
