TheatreThe film revolves around Guru (Silambarasan), a carefree and fun-loving college student. He lives with his widowed mother and younger sister. Guru is known for his playful and mischievous nature, often getting into trouble with his college principal and fellow students.
During one of his escapades, Guru crosses paths with Anjali (Ramya), a new student at his college. Initially, their interactions are filled with misunderstandings and arguments, but gradually, they develop a mutual attraction. Anjali comes from a wealthy family, and her father, Pattasu Balu (Kalabhavan Mani), is a strict and influential man who disapproves of their relationship.
Despite the challenges, Guru and Anjali’s love deepens. However, when Pattasu Balu learns about their relationship, he tries to separate them by using his power and influence. Guru, undeterred, confronts Balu and declares his love for Anjali, promising to win her father’s approval.
In the meantime, Guru’s mother falls ill, and the family faces financial difficulties. To make matters worse, Balu’s henchmen constantly harass Guru and his family. Guru remains resilient and continues to fight for his love and family.
The climax of the film is an emotional showdown between Guru and Balu. Guru’s determination and sincerity eventually win over Balu, who realizes the depth of Guru’s love for Anjali. Balu finally gives his consent for their marriage.
The film concludes on a happy note, with Guru and Anjali united, and Guru’s family overcoming their difficulties. The story highlights the importance of love, perseverance, and family values.
“Kuththu” is known for its comedy sequences, romantic moments, and Silambarasan’s energetic performance. The film’s music, composed by Srikanth Deva, also received positive feedback.
