The film was written and directed by Silambarasan. Balakumaran wrote the dialogue, and P. L. Thenappan produced the movie. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the composer of the movie’s soundtrack and score.
On October 21, 2006, Vallavan was released. It was well reviewed by critics and went on to become a box office success.
Plot
Vallavan is an upbeat college student who gets along well with Soori, Subbu, and Suji. Vallavan falls in love with Swapna the moment he sees her in the temple. When Vallavan runs into Swapna again in college, he discovers that she is a teacher three years his senior.
He chooses to transform into Pallan, an ugly duckling with buck teeth and big glasses, in an attempt to win her over. Pallan wins Swapna over with his heart and makes her fall in love. Then, during a party, he exposes his disguise and presents her to his pals.
She resists their attempts to subtly persuade her to accept a younger man at the gathering. Vallavan then drops her off at her house.They have intercourse after he seduces them. The following day.
He tells her that they had made love rather than had sex and promises to marry her.Swapna decides to marry someone else after learning that Pallan is younger than her and a student, having been a rival of Vallavan’s in college.
Vallavan thinks back to his time at school as he wanders the streets, wondering how things got so chaotic. During his time at upper secondary school, Vallavan fell in love with the volatile and insane Geetha, who makes sure that Vallavan is obsessed with her. He breaks up with her after discovering her true nature. He teaches her a lesson since she’s not ready to let go of him just yet.
