Rakul began her career as a model during her college days and participated in various beauty pageants. She won the title of Femina Miss India People’s Choice in 2011.

Rakul made her acting debut in the Kannada film industry with the movie “Gilli” in 2009. However, she gained prominence with her role in the Telugu film “Venkatadri Express” in 2013.
