Ambani Shankar is an Indian actor renowned for his roles in Tamil cinema. His filmography includes notable appearances in movies such as Ji (2005) and Ambasamudram Ambani (2010).
Growing up in Tirumangalam, Madurai, Shankar drew inspiration from the success of actor Vadivelu, motivating him to relocate to Chennai in 2004 to pursue a career in acting. Faced with initial challenges in the film industry, he took up a position as a clerk at K. Bhagyaraj’s office.
His breakthrough came when N. Linguswamy discovered him, casting him as a roadside cycle mechanic in Ji (2005). Shankar continued to play small comedic roles in movies like Indiralohathil Na Azhagappan (2008) and Kuselan (2008).
Shankar’s career took a significant turn with his noteworthy performance in Ambasamudram Ambani (2010), where he portrayed a negative character alongside Karunas.
