The Sattanathapuram Born on December 26, 1950, Venkataraman Shekher is an Indian actor, director, screenwriter, politician, and playwright of plays in the Tamil language. He was chosen to represent Mylapore as an MLA for the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in 2006. The Federation of Brahmin organizations of South India (FEBAS) was founded by him.
On December 26, 1950, Shekher was born into a Tamil family to Sattanathapuram Venkataraman. He earned his post-diploma in air conditioning and refrigeration as well as his diploma in mechanical engineering.
Shekher is wed to Uma, a granddaughter of G. Ramanathan, a well-known composer of music for Tamil films in the 1950s. Anuradha, the daughter of the couple, and Ashwin, the son, made their film debuts in Vegam and other films.
Shekher acted in his debut stage play in 1974, marking the start of his theatrical career. He made his Kollywood debut on the movie Mogham as a still photographer. After that, he caught the attention of director K. Balachander, who gave him a part in Ninaithale Inikkum and then a major role in Varumayin Niram Sivappu.
