Plot
The largest troublemaker in Tiruchirapalli, Samuthiram (Sharath Lohitashwa), is the father of Niranjana (Manjima Mohan), a servant of the minister (Poster Nandakumar). Samuthiram receives a call from the minister telling him to come to one of his factories alone so that he may attend to a personal matter. Samuthiram arrives and notices that nobody is there, which makes him suspicious. His second-in-command, Ravi (R. K. Vijay Murugan), is called, and he requests that one of their boys come check on him.
As everything is going on, Samuthiram is killed by Shankar (Aruldoss), the minister’s goon, and his group for meeting with the minister of the opposition party. When Guna (Vikram Prabhu), dispatched by Ravi, gets there, she discovers Samuthiram is dead. At the funeral that the gang had with Samuthiram’s family, Ravi pledges his allegiance to them. Guna takes out Shankar’s gang goon Vetri (Nitish Veera) for turning approver.
Niranjana has been subjected to weeks of harassment by certain boys at her college bus stop. Ravi is asked to send someone to take care of it by Tara, her mother. Guna is sent by Ravi, and she slices the man’s arm. Later, Guna is entrusted with following and protecting Niranjana until she graduates from college after that guy’s pals threaten to throw acid on her if he does not get better. She gradually grows to love him and asks Guna to marry her, but he declines, claiming that the residents of the town both fear and respect him. She invites him to go without a weapon for a day. After doing so, he finds out that day that Shankar’s men are pursuing him.
The following day, Niranjana asks Guna if, not having any weapons with him, he was terrified for even a split second. She explains to him that just like the inhabitants in the town fear his weapons rather than him, he was terrified of theirs rather than the enemy.
She advises him to shake off this illusion and give the idea of creating a family and a life for himself some serious thought. She adds that until then, she will wait for him. Guna then begins to feel the same way toward her. When he confesses his feelings to Ravi for Niranjana, Ravi advises Guna it’s inappropriate and to forget about her.
Guna is being followed by Shankar’s group to kill him; he is stabbed but makes it out with the aid of Dr. Chandran (Kavin). When Guna’s relationship with Niranjana is revealed, her family finds it unacceptable. Guna and Niranjana’s brother got into a fight. Guna kills Shankar and his group when they try to kill him again, eloping to Thondi with Niranjana while Ravi and the police hunt for him.
Chandran goes to Guna’s residence when Guna requests him to get ₹ 7 lakhs, his passport, and his mother’s wedding chain from his place. Ravi is alerted to the presence of someone in the residence by one of his men. Believing it to be Guna, Ravi and three of his guys wait outside to stab the man.
The man, identified as Chandran, is stabbed by them. When Chandran refuses to tell Ravi where Guna is, the latter urges him to inform Guna that, even if it takes ten years, he will find them and bring Niranjana home by killing Guna. This allows Chandran to go.
The fact that Ravi—whom Guna considered to be his own brother—tried to kill him infuriates him. He travels to Trichy, where Guna, Ravi, and his gang engage in a chase and brawl. Guna eventually has the upper hand and repeatedly slashes Ravi. When Ravi begs Guna to murder him, Guna finds it difficult to comply.
He drives Ravi to the hospital and requests that he leave everything behind. Additionally, Guna persuades a friend of Shankar’s gang to join him and abandon their violent lifestyle. At the end of the movie, Guna, Niranjana, Chandran, and his fiancée Aishwarya Dutta have all tied the knot. Ravi and his family have visited Niranjana’s house, and her mother has performed an aarti for everyone.
