While Jai remains in London in the hopes of being called to San Francisco, where he would want to work at Golden Gate Inc., Meera travels to India. While Meera reciprocates her boss Vikram Joshi’s love, Jai starts seeing a Swiss girl named Jo. The pair thinks they’ve moved on.
They acknowledge the extent to which they still enjoy each other’s presence. Because Jai cannot return Jo’s desire for deeper sentiments, they split up. Infuriated, Meera threatens to never be able to truly move on unless he leaves her life. At the same time, we learn that Veer has to leave Harleen after she told him she was engaged without telling him.
On the same day that Meera discovers her marriage is a failure, Jai receives a call to his ideal job in San Francisco. When she phones Jai and tells Vikram the truth, he informs her about Golden Gate. She knows he’s heading to San Francisco, but she doesn’t tell him. Veer announces his plan to wed Harleen in the interim, but her family severely beats him.
Jai starts to become disinterested in his “dream job,” discovering that he is not as content as he had anticipated. When he refuses to give them a picture of Meera while being mugged, some attackers beat him. He returns to India after realizing he still loves her. When he locates Vikram, he learns that Meera abandoned him. In the past, on the day of Harleen’s wedding, Veer visits her home and persuades her mother that Harleen can only be content with him. Veer and Harleen are married after Veer’s mother permits him to surreptitiously go out with her daughter. Jai and Meera share a beautiful reunion in the present.
