Kavi Shastri

Biography:

In London, England, Kavi Shastri was born into a Gujarati family. Later, his family—which included his older brother Ravi, his parents Kaushik and Geeta—moved to South Woodford, London. Shastri studied at neighborhood dance and theater clubs in addition to attending George Tomlinson Primary School in Leytonstone, East London. He began attending The Padmini Kolhapure School of Acting in London when he was nine years old, and he performed at many locations in London during his elementary school years.

Shastri began attending the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in 1997. He received training in ballet, tap dancing, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, musical theater, and drama in addition to his scholastic pursuits. Shastri has brief appearances on BBC One’s Holby City and ITV’s This Morning while she was a student. In 2003, Kavi received a government scholarship and graduated from the Academy’s College. He appeared in three seasons of the popular drama series UGetMe on the CBBC and the British film It Could Be You while he was a college student. Shastri traveled to India to work on the movie. Shastri received an award from the academy for his accomplishment in drama and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Performing Arts.
