British actress Amanda Rosario, whose real name is Amanda Pegrum, has acted in Tamil, Marathi, and Hindi films. After playing supporting parts in Hindi movies, Rosario made her acting debut in the Tamil movie Saagasam (2016), costarring with Prashanth.
She was born in Ilford, London, to an English father and an Indian mother. She received 11A* GCSEs from Beal High institution, a non-selective state institution. After developing an interest in acting and dance, Rosario decided to enroll at The Centre for Performing Arts College in 2006. Before going on to work as a model for commercial projects, Rosario started her career in the performing arts in 2008 as a dance instructor at Arts Educational Schools in London.
Later on, she worked in television ads for Heart FM and ITV’s Magic Numbers in addition to representing companies like Perfect Asian and Pizza Hut. Prior to working as a freelance dancer and choreographer for the BBC Asian Network, Rosario made her acting debut in Love Aaj Kal (2009) in a supporting role as Deepika Padukone’s friend.
