Theatre“Deiva Thirumagal” is a 2011 Indian Tamil melodrama film directed and written by A. L. Vijay. It was produced by M. Chinthamani and Ronnie Screwvala. The movie stars Vikram in the lead role, portraying a mentally disabled individual. The cast also includes Sara Arjun, Anushka Shetty, Amala Paul, Nassar, Krishna Kumar, Santhanam, M.S. Bhaskar, and Sachin Khedekar in pivotal roles.

Rajakrishnan. “Deiva Thirumagal” was released on July 15, 2011, and it was later released in Japan under the title “Kamisama ga Kureta Musume.” This film is a remake of the 2001 American movie “I Am Sam,” where Sean Penn played a father with developmental disabilities, and Dakota Fanning portrayed his daughter.
Krishna, an intellectually disabled man with the mental capacity of a five-year-old, becomes a father when his wife dies during childbirth. He raises his daughter, Nila, with love and care, enrolling her in school. When Nila’s aunt discovers their relationship, a custody battle ensues, but Krishna’s love for his daughter prevails, and he ultimately returns her to ensure her financial security.
