Dasavathaaram

Story:

Dasavathaaram is a South Indian film based in Tamil which literally translates to 10 avatars. The action thriller film was directed by K.S Ravikumar and was written by Kamal Haasan himself. The film has the top actors at the time like Asin, Jaya prada and many more name worthy characters. The film focuses on scientist Govind, who’s forced to steal a vial containing a deadly virus from his corrupt boss who intended to sell it to terrorists while he’s hunted by an American mercenary named Christian Fletcher, an Indian police inspector named Balram Naidu and a set of dark events. Several other people also get involved in the process and all their stories connect after the striking of 2004 Indian tsunami inspired from the real life events, thus bringing philosophical views into the picture.

The film was under production for almost 3 years and was later brought to the public in theaters. Coming to the story Kamal Haasan acts in 10 different roles in different names and time periods hence the title Dasavathaaram. The movie comes to an end showing us the relationship between all the 10 avatars and linking it to the Hindu mythology of god Vishnu.
