Mallika Sherawat, whose real name is Reema Lamba, is a prominent Indian actress known for her work in Hindi-language films. She gained fame for her bold roles in movies like “Khwahish” (2003) and “Murder” (2004), establishing herself as a sex symbol and a popular Bollywood celebrity. She received critical acclaim for her performance in “Pyaar Ke Side Effects” (2006) and appeared in successful films like “Welcome” (2007) and “Double Dhamaal” (2011). She also ventured into Hollywood with films like “Hisss” (2010) and “Politics of Love” (2011).

Born in a small village in Haryana, India, as Reema Lamba, she adopted the screen name Mallika Sherawat, meaning “empress,” to avoid confusion with other actresses. Despite initial family tensions regarding her career choice, her family eventually accepted and reconciled with her. She pursued her education, earning a degree in philosophy from Delhi University. Before entering films, she appeared in television commercials and music videos.
