Biography:

Miwa watabiki better known by her stage name Chara, is a Japanese singer and actor debuted as a singer in 1991 with the song heaven. Chara grew up in Kawaguchi, Saitama in Japan she started learning piano at an early age of 4(four). She received her nickname Chara in junior high school after her teacher called her by that name. Later she decided to keep the name as her stage name as it remained her inner child in her. She recorded her debut album in 1991 in Japan and London. And later released her debut song heaven in September of the same year. Although the album did not reach the hype she was going for she later picked up the hype with her later albums and started a band with her friends and then continued to focus on her acting career.

ACTING CAREER

Her first film in Japan was Picnic which was released in 1996 her role name being Coco. Later she worked in Swallowtail Butterfly as Glico in which she also sang a song that got her the fame. She also worked in a Japanese series called Because We Forgot Everything. Her debut in Indian films was through Dasavatharam. She acted in the film starring Kamal Haasan and Asin, she acted in the role called Chara in the film
