TheatreKrishna Vamsi wrote and directed the drama film Chakram, which was released in 2005. Asin and Charmy Kaur play the female roles, with Prabhas serving as the film’s titular character in the lead role. Chakri was the composer of the music.
On March 25, 2005, the movie came out to mediocre reviews. Chakram was a financial failure. But it did take home two Nandi Awards.
The movie was also dubbed in Bhojpuri and Malayalam as Dharma Chakram.
The dream of returning foreigner Chakram (Prabhas) is to establish a hospital in Pulivendula. He is in love with Lakshmi (Asin), his coworker and cousin who they both met while studying medicine abroad. He leaves his wedding venue for an unclear cause.
Then he relocates to Hyderabad and dwells in a neighborhood known as “Sahara Colony.” He assists everyone there in finding solutions to their issues and restoring their smiles. When another girl named Lakshmi (Charmy) sees all of this, she begins to fall in love with Chakram.
Later on, we learn that he fled after learning that he had blood cancer and would soon pass away.
