Veteran Indian actress Radha Kumari worked in Telugu-language movies. In more than four decades, she appeared in over 600 movies. She is highly recognized for her sense of humor and frequently played a mother or grandma in her flims.
In 1942, Radha Kumari was born in Vizianagaram to a Padmashali family. She started acting on stage when she was 12 years old and has since appeared in about 10,000 plays in a variety of roles. After she started working in the film industry, she got married to the actor and writer Raavi Kondala Rao. She made her acting debut alongside Raavi Kondala Rao in the movie Tene Manasulu, and she has since appeared in over 100 movies as both a wife and a husband. She starred among the greatest heroes of two generations and was thought to be the ideal choice for sympathetic roles. For her work in the movie Mee Sreyobhilashi, she was given the “Nandi” award.
