Indian director of cinematography C. Ramprasad primarily works in the Telugu film industry. He worked as a cinematographer on more than 50 films. Hanuman Junction (2001), Murari (2002), Athanokkade (2005), Maryada Ramanna (2010), Mirapakay (2011), Yevadu (2014), Legend (2014), and Akhanda (2021) are only a few of the best hits in Telugu cinema for which he served as cinematographer.
The couple Sri C. Madhav Rao and Smt. Subbalakshmi welcomed a son named C. Ramprasad in 1965. His mother is a homemaker and his father, Sri C. Madhav Rao, is a makeup artist in South India. His early years were spent in Chennai, where his father was employed as a makeup artist. Ram Prasad’s father provided the motivation for him to choose a career path, and the movie industry encouraged him to do so. He enrolled at the Film Institute in Chennai to pursue a Diploma in Cinematography (D.F.T.-Diploma in Film Technology) after finishing his SSLC. His love for photography was so great that he abruptly quit college to work as Late VSR Swamy’s assistant.
From 1986 to 1988, C. Ram Prasad worked as an assistant cameraman in Telugu feature films. From 1989 to 1993, he was an associate cameraman before landing his first role in Pacha Thoranam.
