Santhosh Narayanan

Biography:

Santhosh Narayanan, born in Tiruchirappalli, India, is a music composer and independent music producer. He completed his education at RSK Higher Secondary School and J.J. College of Engineering and Technology. Initially, he worked as a recording engineer, arranger, and programmer before venturing into music composition for films. He composed music for the Telugu short film Advaitham and was a member of the folk music band “La Pongal” in 2009.

In 2012, Santhosh made his debut as an independent music director in the Tamil film Attakathi. The film’s songs, including the popular gaana tracks “Aadi Pona Aavani” and “Nadukadalula Kappala,” introduced Gana Bala to the industry. He continued to compose music for films like Uyir Mozhi, Pizza, and Soodhu Kavvum, earning critical acclaim and awards.

From 2014 to 2015, Santhosh focused on Tamil films, delivering successful soundtracks for movies like Cuckoo, Jigarthanda, Madras, and Enakkul Oruvan. His compositions received praise for their innovative and diverse styles. In 2015, he worked on 36 Vayadhinile, and his upcoming projects included films by Karthik Subbaraj and Nalan Kumarasamy.

Throughout 2016, Santhosh composed music for several films, including Kabali and Kaashmora. In 2017, he contributed to Bairavaa and Meyaadha Maan. He later collaborated with Pa. Ranjith for films such as Kaala, Mercury, and Vada Chennai.

In 2021, Santhosh composed the soundtrack and score for Sarpatta Parambarai, marking his fifth collaboration with Pa. Ranjith. He also worked on independent music projects, including the popular songs “Enjoy Enjami” and “Neeye Oli.”

Santhosh Narayanan has upcoming releases in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, including Anel Meley Pani Thuli, Gulu Gulu, Buffoon, Project K, Pathonpatham Noottandu, and Anweshippin Kandethum.
