Actor Gangasani Rami Reddy appeared in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam films from 1 January 1959 until 14 April 2011. He was a director and a producer in addition. He is renowned for his comic timing, villainous parts, and character roles. He was a notorious bad guy with a distinctive look and Telangana dialect. He became famous after delivering the line “spot pedatha” in the movie Ankusam.
At Valmikipuram, formerly known as Vayalpad, in the Chittoor district, Gangasani Rami Reddy was born. His journalism degree from Osmania University is a BCJ.
Before going into the film industry, Reddy was a journalist for Mf Daily. His performance as “Spot Nana” in the immensely popular movie Ankusam[3] and other films like Osey Ramulamma, Ammoru, Gaayam, Anaganaga Oka Roju, and Peddarikam catapulted him to prominence. He appeared as a villain and character actor in more than 250 films in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, and Bhojpuri.
Rami Reddy has kidney and liver problems. On April 14, 2011, he passed away in a Secunderabad, India, private hospital. He passed away at age 52.
