Biography:

Paresh Rawal is an Indian film actor, comedian, and politician. He was born on May 30, 1955, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Known for his versatility and impeccable comic timing, Paresh Rawal has appeared in numerous Bollywood films and has also made his mark in the theater industry.

Paresh Rawal began his acting career in the early 1980s and initially worked in Gujarati plays. His breakthrough came with the play “Kamla” in 1984, where his exceptional performance earned him widespread recognition. He later transitioned to Hindi cinema and made his film debut with the movie “Holi” in 1984, directed by Ketan Mehta.

Over the years, Paresh Rawal has showcased his acting prowess in a wide range of roles, including comedy, drama, and character-driven performances. He is known for his ability to effortlessly switch between comedic and serious roles. Some of his notable films include “Andaz Apna Apna” (1994), “Hera Pheri” (2000), “Hungama” (2003), “Aankhen” (2002), “Welcome” (2007), and “OMG – Oh My God!” (2012).

Paresh Rawal has received critical acclaim and several awards for his performances. He has won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film “Woh Chokri” (1994). He has also been honored with the Filmfare Award for Best Comedian multiple times.

He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) to the Lok Sabha from the Ahmedabad East constituency in 2014.
