TheatreDirected by Jayanth C. Paranjee and produced by Nagendra Babu, Bavagaru Bagunnara is a 1998 Telugu-language romantic comedy picture. Chiranjeevi, Rambha, and Rachana are the film’s main stars. Muradan was the Tamil version that was dubbed and published.
Arriving on theaters on April 9, 1998, the movie was a huge hit. Both Bengali and Hindi versions of the movie, titled Jamai Shoshur (2003) and Kunwara (2000), were produced.
The 1995 American movie A Walk in the Clouds, which was a reimagining of the 1942 Italian film Four Steps in the Clouds, appears to have served as the inspiration for Bavagaru Bagunnara.
Plot
Raju splits his time between his restaurant in New Zealand and an orphanage he manages in India under his sister’s name. Staying with her uncle, Swapna is a student in New Zealand. S
he then searches for Raju to confront him about hitting her friend. When she finds out that Raju wasn’t at fault, she falls in love with him right away.
Subsequently, the action takes place in India as Raju travels there to take care of the “home”. There, he prevents Sandhya, a pregnant woman, from taking her own life. He chooses to assist her after finding out about her abandoned love affair.
In order to let her to live with her child in peace as a deserted wife, he persuades her that he will serve as her husband until the baby is born. They travel to her village with that plan. under first objecting, her father, Rao Bahadur Rajendra Prasad, reluctantly agrees to the scheme under persuasion from relatives.
When Swapna travels to India, she is shocked to learn that Raju is her brother-in-law. This is when the plot takes a turn. She is unconvinced despite Raju’s repeated claims of innocence. Raju becomes embroiled in a dispute between their community and a neighboring one for possession of a lake in the meantime.
Sandhya’s village wins the race that determines who owns it. Sandhya’s father chooses to accept Raju as his son-in-law and arranges for their marriage, delighted with the turn of events that elevates the status of their community. Now that she knows the truth, Swapna is distraught.
Sandhya tries suicide once again in the interim, but Raju stops her. He finds out during this procedure that she meets her lover, who is being compelled to marry his daughter after being imprisoned by the chief of the nearby town. After saving Sandhya’s lover, Raju arranges their marriage.
