During her early years in Pune, she initially attended a traditional school before being homeschooled alongside four friends by their parents, who wanted to avoid the conventional schooling system. This experience was liberating for Apte and boosted her self-confidence. While growing up in Pune, she received eight years of Kathak training from the renowned Kathak exponent Rohini Bhate.
Her journey into theater began during this time in Pune, which eventually led her to pursue a career in Mumbai’s film industry. Radhika Apte began her acting career in theater and made her film debut with a brief appearance in the fantasy drama “Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!” (2005).
