Sunitha Tati

Biography:

Sunitha Tati is an accomplished Indian film producer renowned for her work in the Telugu cinema industry, operating under the banner of Guru Films. Her notable productions include the well-received films Oh! Baby, Courier Boy Kalyan, and Sahasame Swasaga Sagipo. Born and raised in Vijayawada, Tati pursued her education with a bachelor’s degree in business management from George Mason University. Furthering her academic journey, she delved into the realm of film-making by completing a postgraduate course at New York University.

Before making her mark in the Telugu film industry, Tati garnered experience working in prominent media outlets such as TV9 (Telugu) and Radio Mirchi. Under the mentorship of D. Suresh Babu at Ramanaidu Studios, she honed her skills and served as an assistant director for various films, including Malliswari, Jayam Manadera, and Nagesh Kukunoor’s Hyderabad Blues.

In 2016, Tati collaborated with acclaimed director Gautham Vasudev Menon as a producer for Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada and its Telugu counterpart Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo. The year 2019 marked a significant milestone in her career when she produced the B. V. Nandini Reddy-directed Oh! Baby, featuring Samantha Akkineni and Lakshmi. This venture was undertaken in association with People’s Media Productions and Suresh Productions.

Looking ahead, Tati is actively involved in the production of Saakini Daakini, directed by Sudheer Varma. The film, a remake of the Korean production Midnight Runners, stars Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas. Additionally, she is engaged in the making of the comedy film Dongalunnaru Jaagratha in collaboration with Suresh Productions. Directed by Satish Tripura, the film features Sri Simha and Samuthirakani.

Beyond her contributions to the world of cinema, Tati is an enthusiastic Rotarian, actively participating in community service. She also holds the position of a trustee and founder member of the Support Cancer Awareness Foundation, a non-governmental organization based in Hyderabad. Through her multifaceted endeavors, Sunitha Tati continues to make impactful contributions to both the entertainment industry and social causes.
