Story:

Sister Midnight is a 2024 black comedy film that marks the directorial debut of Karan Kandhari. Radhika Apte plays the lead role of a woman who is forced into an unfortunate arranged marriage and goes through a lot of upheaval.

On May 19, 2024, the movie made its global premiere during the Directors’ Fortnight portion of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. At the 78th BAFTA Awards, it received a nomination for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, or Producer. In India, the movie debuted in theaters on May 30, 2025.

Uma, a young woman trapped in an unpleasant arranged marriage in Mumbai, is portrayed by Radhika Apte.
