Vikram Vedha

Story:

“Vikram Vedha” is a Hindi-language action thriller film directed and co-written by Pushkar–Gayathri. Produced by YNOT Studios, Friday Filmworks, Reliance Entertainment, T-Series Films, and Jio Studios, it is a remake of the duo’s 2017 Tamil film of the same name.

Inspired by the Indian folktale Vetala Panchavimshati, the film stars Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan as the titular anti-heroes, with Radhika Apte, Rohit Saraf, and Yogita Bihani in supporting roles. The music is composed by Vishal–Shekhar and Sam C. S., who scored the original Tamil film, while cinematography is by P. S. Vinod.

The story follows Vikram, an encounter specialist, as he tracks down Vedha, a ruthless gangster. However, things take an unexpected turn when Vedha surrenders and is bailed out by Vikram’s advocate wife, leading to uncertainty.

“Vikram Vedha” was released worldwide on September 30, 2022, to positive reviews from both critics and audiences. It was praised for its direction, cinematography, screenplay, background score, and performances, particularly those of Khan and Roshan. The film was a blockbuster hit at the box office. At the 68th Filmfare Awards, it received eight nominations and won Best Action.
