Story:

Merry Christmas is a suspenseful thriller directed by Sriram Raghavan, featuring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in leading roles. Produced by Ramesh Taurani, Jaya Taurani, Sanjay Routray, and Kewal Garg under Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures, the film draws inspiration from Frédéric Dard’s novel “Le Monte-charge” (Bird in a Cage).

The plot unfolds on a fateful Christmas Eve where two strangers initially find romance, only to encounter a harrowing turn of events.

Announced officially in December 2021, the film began principal photography in Mumbai that same month, with additional shoots in Uttar Pradesh, concluding back in Mumbai by mid-January 2023. Pritam composed the music, Madhu Neelakandan handled cinematography, and Pooja Ladha Surti managed editing.

Merry Christmas premiered in theaters on January 12, 2024, garnering positive reviews for Kaif and Sethupathi’s performances. However, commercially, the film did not meet box office expectations.
