Sriwass and Abhishek Pictures are the directors and producers of the 2018 Indian Telugu action film Saakshyam. With Jagapathi Babu, Pooja Hegde, and Bellamkonda Sreenivas in the lead roles. On July 27, 2018, the movie opened in theatres.
Plot
A cow is forcibly taken away in the beginning of the film, and the cow’s calf is trying to follow them. The action moves to Raju Garu’s home, where his family has gathered for his son’s naming ceremony.
At that moment, a bunch of people get there carrying the calf and tell them that the mother of the calf, who is a temple property, has been abducted along with several other cows by Munuswamy’s siblings. Raju Garu then returns the cows and beats up Munuswamy’s brother as a result.
When Munuswamy learns of his brothers’ humiliation, he and his three brothers visit Raju Garu’s home, where there is a celebration. All of the family members are mercilessly killed, with the exception of Raju Garu’s wife, who sustains injuries.
Raju Garu succeeds in diverting the brothers’ attention while his wife flees with the infant, but her severe injuries cause her to weaken and make it impossible for her to continue. At that moment, the calf appears in front of her, the mother of which Raju Garu protected.
Taking this as a sign, Raju Garu’s wife straps the infant onto the calf and wraps him in a shawl. The calf is fleeing away when the baddies arrive, and a chase ensues. The wounded calf escapes the bad guys and lands the infant on a truck that is transporting dirt.
The criminals assume the boy is dead after witnessing him tumble off the cliff. They set fire to the cowshed to hide their crime since, when things go wrong, even animals might end up being primary witnesses to one’s transgressions.
The narrative then switches to narrator narration, in which it is explained that Munuswamy, while pleased that he has eliminated every trace of his crimes, has forgotten that the five elements of nature, which are ever-present, have seen his crimes and will undoubtedly exact revenge on him for his atrocities.
The boy is taken to a soil mine in the meantime, and the truck dumps him there with the dirt. The youngster is seen by a Hindu saint, who then drives him to Kasi and places him in a temple.
Siva Prasad and his wife, a childless couple, are overjoyed to see him and are there to pray for a child. Since this is how nature intends for the infant to be raised, the temple priest then gives him the name Viswaagna. Later, the child and the couple go for the United States.
Twenty years later, Siva Prasad and his spouse can be seen enjoying their company’s success. A reporter inquires about their son Viswa, who is expected to inherit the multibillion dollar empire, but Viswa is more interested in creating video games than taking over the company, according to Siva Prasad.
We are introduced to Viswa and his friends. They’re now working on a new video game that they want to submit to a publisher for publication. Regretfully, the lack of cultural relevance causes their video to be rejected.
Viswa and his companion encounter Soundarya Lahari, a Hindu spiritual leader who traveled to the United States to give a sermon on Indian mythology. Viswa is enamored with her right away, and he and his friend follow her to get her assistance in creating the culturally themed game.
Soundarya, on the other hand, is insulted by their financial offer and states unequivocally that culture cannot be bought or sold. By utilizing his connections to help Soundarya’s sister and brother-in-law get jobs, Viswa and his friend get Soundarya to reluctantly agree to aid Viswa.
She presents the group to Valmiki, a childhood friend and IT specialist with a keen interest in Indian mythology. Valmiki assists them by providing a novel idea for a game that is based on Viswa’s life story.
Which is about a boy whose family is killed by villains and the five elements of nature using the boy to exact revenge on the villains. Valmiki’s notion intrigued Vishwa, who then engaged him to work on his game.
As this is going on, Soundarya departs for India to visit her father Tagore, who Munuswamy’s group had bedridden since she had fought against them in court. Viswa goes with her to India, where she begins work on the video game.
Munuswamy, in the meantime, gave the order to assassinate Soundarya as a warning to stop Tagore in his tracks. Subsequently, in a few circumstances, Vishwa protected Soundarya from Veeraswamy, Munuswamy’s first brother, and ultimately, he killed Soundarya using the earth and air elements found in nature.
When he realized that the video game’s plot was based on his real life, he was completely taken aback. He traveled to Kasi to offer his mother’s salutations at the Kasi Vishwanath temple.
It was there that he unintentionally met Munuswamy’s second brother, who ultimately caused his death through the element of fire. He makes a hopeless attempt to stop it. Munuswamy is searching for his brothers’ killer in the meantime.
Soundarya consents to marry Viswa after acknowledging his love for her and his efforts to protect her from Munuswamy’s brother. As all of this is going on, Valmiki plans the entire game.
He then returns to India and sees his grandfather, a practitioner of vedic astrology, who is determining the dates of Vishwa and Soundarya’s marriage as well as the unfavorable omens associated with Munuswamy and his siblings.
Hearing Valmiki’s explanation of the game’s plot, he realizes that Munuswamy and his siblings are being punished by Mother Nature’s Almighty for their transgressions against Vishwa’s birth parents.
He recalls telling young Valmiki that when he was younger, Youth Munuswamy and his brothers criticized the astrologer and refused to let God go so they may live their own lives.
He tells Valmiki that mother nature wrote the screenplay via him; she saw every incidence and chose him to create the scenarios, and that nobody can stop it.
As all of this is going on, Shakti, Viswa’s business competitor, teams up with Munuswamy to seize his big holdings in India. He then kidnaps them and threatens to provide the share documents to Shakti.
Finally, Vishwa arrives to deal with them. As the other element, sky, witnesses, the elements of fire, water, earth, and air exact punishment on all the villains via Viswa.
