Sameer Arora, a prolific writer with a primary focus on the Indian film industry, hails from Bangalore, where he completed his schooling. His love for reading blossomed during childhood, igniting a passion for books and novels. Early on, he aspired to weave his own tales, showcasing his creative prowess and earning accolades in debate competitions.
During his youth, Sameer crafted stories for comics, newspapers, and local magazines. Actively participating in school narration competitions, he consistently clinched prizes. Opting to pursue a degree in English literature, he joined a writer’s club in college. There, he penned stories for short films, earning numerous awards at college events.
While submitting stories to local magazines became a source of income, it was a friend’s suggestion during his final year of college that propelled Sameer towards film writing. Despite facing multiple rejections, one of his short stories found favor with a movie director in 1994.
This breakthrough led to a role as a production assistant in the film “Vaade Iraade.” Although family issues prompted a brief career detour, Sameer returned to writing in 2003, contributing dialogues to “Kaise Kahoon Ke…Pyaar Hai.” Subsequently, he lent his storytelling and dialogue-writing talents to popular movies such as “Love In Nepal,” “Daag – Shades of Love,” “Ek: The Power of One,” “Click,” “Wajah Tum Ho,” and served as a screenplay writer for “Tula Kulnnaar Nahi.”
In 2018, Sameer Arora continued his cinematic journey as a screenplay writer for “Zeenat” and “Hate Story IV.” “Zeenat,” directed by Sandesh Nayak and featuring Mallika Sherawat, showcased Sameer’s narrative prowess. He also crafted the story for “Hate Story IV,” directed by Vishal Pandya, starring Urvashi Rautela, Ihana Dhillon, Vivan Bhatena, and Karan Wahi.
