Ashutosh Rana is a well-known Indian actor who primarily appears in Bollywood films as well as those made in Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, and Kannada. He has also made appearances in other Indian television programmes. Sangharsh and Dushman both earned Ashutosh Rana two filmfare awards. He was given these honour as part of the Filmfare award nomination for a derogatory role.
On November 10, 1967, Ashutosh Rana was born in Gadarwara, India. He spent the majority of his youth at Gadarwara, where he also finished his education. In previous domestic Ramleela productions, he played Ravana. He enrolled at the National School of Drama in New Delhi and began acting classes there. He has shared the stage with mentor Satyadev Dubey in a number of productions.
Renuka Neekhra, a well-known Bollywood actress, is Ashutosh Rana’s wife. Two sons named Satyendra and Shauryaman were born to the couple. Neekhra devotes much of his time to following his guru, Pandit Dev Prabhakar Shastri, whom he addresses as “Dadda Ji.” Pandit Dev was the one who suggested to Rana that he pursue an acting profession.
Ashutosh Rana started out on television with the hit show Swabhimaan, which was followed by Farz, Sazish, Waris, Jab Kabhi, and presenting the programme Baazi Kiski. Ashutosh also served as the host of the reality programme Sarkaar Ki Duniya, which was filmed on Karnataka’s Mango Island. Afterwards, in 2010, he had starred in a Star plus show Kaali- Ek Agnipariksha, wherein he played an influential negative role of Thakral. Additionally, he played a prominent role in the well-known Doordarshan television series Apradhi Koun.
After appearing in the film Dushman as a psychopathic killer, Ashutosh Rana gained recognition in Indian cinema. He regularly receives roles as movie villains, especially as killers. He also performed supporting roles in a couple films. Ashutosh Rana has acted in films from South India. In many of Mahesh Bhatt’s films, he can be seen. In Karan Johar’s film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, he played Alia Bhatt’s father. He has acted in several Kannada films.
