Abhishek Nama

Biography:

Abhishek Nama, born in the early 80s in Hyderabad, hails from a film-oriented background with his father, Nama Madhusudhan Rao, being a renowned Film Distributor in the 70s and 80s. Abhishek, having pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), displayed a strong inclination towards creativity from an early age. He initiated his journey independently, establishing a marketing and publicity agency, which he elevated through his efforts.

Realizing the desire for more substantial contributions, Abhishek took over Abhishek Pictures at a young age. He exhibited remarkable distribution acumen by acquiring and promoting films such as Hollywood blockbusters “10,000 BC,” “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” “Knight and Day,” “X-Men: First Class,” and “Life of Pi.” Collaborating with prominent figures like D. Suresh Babu, he played a key role in the distribution of hits like “Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde,” “Manam,” and “Attarintiki Daredi.”

After a period of individual growth, he embraced film production with “Babu Baga Busy,” followed by successes like ‘Saakshyam,’ ‘Goodachari,’ and ‘Keshava.’ The film ‘Goodachari’ established him as a reputable producer. In 2022, Abhishek Pictures expanded into producing content for OTT platforms, including web-films, web-series, and reality shows.

His recent projects include ‘Ravanasura,’ starring Ravi Teja, set for release in April 2023, and ‘Devil – The British Secret Agent,’ featuring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, set in 1945. Abhishek’s distinctiveness lies in his diverse and thoughtfully selected storytelling. Another ongoing project is ‘Prema Vimanam.’
