Raanjhanaa

The story revolves around Kundan (played by Dhanush), who falls in love with Zoya (played by Sonam Kapoor) during his childhood in Benaras (Varanasi), India. Kundan is deeply infatuated with Zoya and goes to great lengths to win her affection. Despite initial resistance from Zoya due to societal differences and her ambitions, Kundan’s persistent efforts eventually win her over, and they develop a romantic relationship.

In Delhi, the story takes a dramatic turn as Kundan faces the reality of Zoya and Akram’s relationship. He discovers that Akram has political ambitions and is using Zoya’s love for his own gains. Kundan’s obsession with Zoya deepens, leading to a series of events that challenge their relationships and their personal beliefs.

The film explores themes of unrequited love, obsession, and the complexities of relationships against the backdrop of political and social issues in India. It received praise for its performances, particularly Dhanush’s portrayal of Kundan, and its music composed by A.R.
