Indian screenwriter and producer Himanshu Sharma is involved in the Hindi film industry. His most well-known works are Raanjhanaa (2013) and the Tanu Weds Manu series (2011, 2015), both of which were regarded as huge hits in their native country. His screenplays for the movies were largely well-received.
In Lucknow, Jiwan Sharma, a U.P. tourism officer, and Shama Sharma welcomed Himanshu into the world. After completing his education at Springdale College in Lucknow, Himanshu went on to Kirori Mal College in Delhi for his further studies, where he began participating in theater.
In addition to having a brother and a younger sister, Himanshu was romantically involved with Bollywood star Swara Bhaskar. Himanshu tied the knot with Kanika Dhillon in January 2021.
He began his career as a scriptwriter for a health show on NDTV. He then relocated to Mumbai to further his career in television series and motion pictures. He penned the scripts for numerous TV series, including SAB TV’s Bhootwala and Sony TV’s Kkusum.
His first screenplay was for the Raj Kundra-produced film Strangers, starring Nandana Sen and Jimmy Sheirgill. He belongs to the AAFT International Film and Television Club. Tanu Weds Manu: Returns and Raanjhanaa were co-produced by Colour Yellow Productions, of which Himanshu Sharma is a member.
