Indian film editor Amitabh Shukla is employed in Hindi cinema. His roles in the movies Chak De! India, Krrish, Holiday, and Chalte Chalte have made him most famous. For his efforts on Chak De! India, he received the 2007 Filmfare Award for Best Editing.
He studied finance and systems for his master’s in business management at the Xavier Institute of Management in Bhubaneswar. He was born and raised in Lucknow.
He continued his education at the esteemed Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, where he graduated in 1998, driven by a strong passion in filmmaking and video editing. Released in 2003, Shah Rukh Khan’s Chalte Chalte was his first big motion picture.
Numerous Bollywood films, including Bluffmaster!, Namastey London, Singh Is Kinng, and many more, are ascribed to him for their editing. He received multiple awards for the movie Chak De! India at several film festivals, including IIFA and Filmfare.
He was the head of Red Chillies Entertainment’s technical editing department and currently serves as a visiting faculty member at the Film and Television Institute of India.
