Arvind Gaur

Biography:

Theatre director, actor trainer, social activist, street theater worker, and storyteller Arvind Gaur is from India.In India, he is well-known for his plays that tackle social and political issues. Gaur’s plays are thought-provoking and modern, drawing connections between more significant social and political themes and more intimate human realms of existence.

Internet censorship, communalism, caste problems, feudalism, crimes of state, politics of power, violence, injustice, social marginalization, and racism are among topics covered in his work. Delhi-based theater ensemble Asmita was founded by Arvind.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (India) granted Gaur a research scholarship from 1997 to 1998. For three years, he served as a guest instructor at Delhi University’s theater education department. In addition to performing in colleges, institutions, universities, and schools both in India and beyond, he has led numerous theater workshops.

In addition to street theater productions on sociopolitical themes, he arranges theater workshops for kids in underprivileged schools and neighborhoods. Over the course of 25 years, he has directed over hundreds of theatrical and street plays.

He was born in Delhi on February 2, 1963. Late is Arvind’s father. The late mother of mathematician Shri Shiva Nandan Sharma passed away. Saraswati Devi lived in her home. His mother passed away on September 19, 2019, and his father on April 16, 2009.

Shashi Prabha, the late Mithlesh, and Anita Gaur are his three sisters. Anil Gaur is his brother. He and Dr. Sangeeta Gaur are wed. Saveree Gaur and Kakoli Gaur Nagpal are his twin daughters. Kakoli Gaur, Prince Nagpal’s daughter, was married.
