Lakshyam

Story:

Srivass is the director of the 2007 Telugu action movie Lakshyam, which is produced by Nallamalupu Srinivas (Bujji) under Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions. Mani Sharma wrote the music, and Gopichand, Jagapati Babu, and Anushka Shetty are the main actors. Later, it was remade as Varadhanayaka in Kannada, Maanja Velu in Tamil, Fighter in Bengali, and Darowaner Chele in Bengali Bangladesh.One Filmfare Award and two Nandi Awards were given to the movie.

Chandu, a college student, resides contentedly with his parents, sister-in-law, and brother ACP Bose. Bose looks into the case of feared gangster “Section” Shankar, who deals illegally in land and has connections to DIG Hari Narayan amongst others. Shankar gets rid of the bank chairman when he demands the money back because the deal hasn’t worked out and he has lent money for it. Customers of the bank take to the streets in an attempt to cause damage to the establishment. Arriving, Bose takes the manager into custody. When Shankar learns the manager’s whereabouts, he and his men, along with Hari Narayan, murder Bose. Shankar requests that his men dispose of the body.

Bose passes away in Chandu’s arms after Chandu becomes involved and eventually saves his brother from a burning bus. The public believes that Bose has embezzled all of the money, as Hari Narayan has led them to believe. In his quest for revenge against those responsible for Bose’s death, Chandu first murders Shafi, a close friend and Shankar’s sidekick, and then Hari Narayan. When Chandu shows up, Shankar kidnaps Bose’s whole family and tells them he’s dead. Under the direction of Ajay Prakash, the new DIG, who is Chandu’s staunch supporter, he kills Shankar.
