Alongside Aditya Seal and Mallika Dua, Kiara Advani plays a Ghaziabad lady who finds love through dating apps in this AA Films-distributed film. In October 2019, the film’s principal photography got underway. In June 2020, it was originally scheduled to be released in theaters. However, the COVID-19 epidemic caused the publication to be delayed. In accordance with the 50% occupancy limit that was announced in consideration of the pandemic’s ongoing effects, it eventually opened in theaters on December 11, 2020.
The girl known as “Indoo” or Indira Gupta resides in Ghaziabad. For the past year, she has been dating Satish, who wants to have sex with her. Since she believes they should wait until after marriage to do it, Indoo consistently declines. Sonal is an intelligent girl and Indoo’s best friend. Whenever Indoo feels unsure, she always seeks Sonal’s advise and heeds it. All of the males in the area, from high school students to her father, want to have sex with Indoo since she is all so attractive.
After killing a police officer in the arm, two Pakistani terrorists are currently hiding in Ghaziabad. Since the police do not yet know the terrorists’ faces, they simply provide the fact that they are Pakistani when they post a wanted order for them on television stations. For practice and to see if Satish has any sexual issues, Sonal persuades Indoo to have sex with him. When Indoo goes to see Satish the following day for their first sexual encounter without notifying him first, he discovers Satish having an affair with Alka, another married woman. Indoo ends their relationship because of the betrayal. Sonal convinces Indoo to have a one-night stand in order to practice sex and accuses him of betraying Satish by refusing to have sex with him. While her family is away for a week, Indoo takes her advise and uses the dating app Dinder to locate a companion. They then arrange a date at her place.
Indoo performs alongside Hyderabadi musician Samar Khan. Due to Sonal’s typographical error when creating Indoo’s Dinder profile, Samar refers to Indoo as India. Both of them are aware of where the night would take them, but Indoo is hesitant and anxious and continues phoning Sonal for advice. Samar uses the Gomato app on his phone to get them food. Samar later admits that he is a Pakistani after his passport unintentionally falls on the ground. Samar denies being a Pakistani terrorist, but Indoo, who just so happens to have seen the wanted order on TV, accuses him of being one.
As citizens of two competing nations, they start to quarrel. In order to ensure that no one witnesses a man leaving her home, Indoo requests that Samar wait until it is safe to do so. After some detours, Samar’s requested dinner finally shows up. In order to monitor the “terrorist” while he uses the restroom, Indoo invites the delivery man inside the house. Samar seizes the chance to eject himself from her home. The meal delivery guy is now the one who stays at Indoo’s house. While the street is deserted, she must wait for an opportunity to send him on his way.
Samar comes across a dead body on his way back. He discovers when he looks at the corpse’s ID that the individual was meant to bring them dinner. The man in Indoo’s home must be a terrorist, he decides. Samar tries to ask for assistance from onlookers and members of a prayer gathering next to Indoo’s house because his phone battery is dead, but no one pays attention. He alerts the police that a local girl named India is in danger and that a body is lying close by, but the officers, who are sound asleep, recognize that India is a mother figure to its people rather than a girl. When there are no other options for saving Indoo, Samar goes back to her house and enters over Indoo’s protests.
Even after Samar confronts the terrorist and exposes his actions, Indoo does not trust Samar and continues to believe that he is the true terrorist. Indoo strikes Samar with a stick during their altercation, knocking him out. In the meantime, a picture of the terrorist is discovered by the police and broadcast on television.
The TV is turned on via the remote control as Indoo is seated on the sofa. When she notices the TV, she discovers that Samar has been attempting to save her all along and that the “delivery man” is actually a Pakistani terrorist. In the house, she hides. The terrorist, unable to locate Indoo, threatens to shoot an unconscious Samar if she does not come forward. At the same moment as Samar awakens, Indoo is compelled to reveal herself. He grabs the terrorist’s firearm and engages him in combat. When the cops finally show there, they shoot the terrorist in this hand. As the film comes to a close, Indoo and Samar lean in to kiss each other and apologize.
