Biography:

Govind Pandey, a prominent figure in Hindi cinema, has left his mark in Bollywood films, Hindi TV serials, and commercials. Born and raised in New Delhi to parents residing there, he stands tall at six feet and weighs 81 kilograms, with measurements including a 38-inch chest, 34-inch waist, and 14-inch biceps. With jet black hair and matching eyes, Pandey received his early education from Ramjas School Number 3 before pursuing Performing Arts at Delhi University, where he later earned a Ph.D. in Hindi drama.

His cinematic journey began with a cameo role in the 1982 film Angoor, followed by appearances in acclaimed movies like PK, Lootera, Band Baja Baraat, and Aakrosh, among others. A music enthusiast, he delves into songwriting, composing, and playing musical instruments such as the guitar and harmonium.

Married since December 10, 1994, to Babita Pandey, he holds a philosophy degree since 1987. Currently, he freelances as an actor and works as an Assistant Producer at a production house alongside his nephew Shivam AK Pathak. Despite his achievements, Pandey remains grounded, shunning extravagance and cherishing friendships.

His theatrical career spans over two decades, with noteworthy performances in films like Angoor, Hu Tu, Do Dooni Chaar, and Lootera. Notably, he portrayed a challenging role in a film as the father of the male lead, depicting a typical alcoholic. Graduating from Ramjas College, Pandey began his acting journey with the NSD repertory company, where he earned recognition as an A-grade artist during his tenure from 1997 to 2007. His contributions extend to writing, performing musicals, and voice-over work, all while actively engaging in raising awareness about social issues.
