Biography:

Nikkhil Advani is a prominent Indian filmmaker, producer, and director known for his work in the Bollywood film industry. He has been involved in various aspects of filmmaking and has contributed significantly to the Indian entertainment landscape.

Nikkhil Advani gained recognition as a director with his debut film “Kal Ho Naa Ho” (2003), which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif Ali Khan. The film was well-received and marked his entry into the industry.

He is also known for directing films like “Salaam-E-Ishq” (2007), “D-Day” (2013), “Hero” (2015), “Batla House” (2019), and “Bell Bottom” (2021), among others. His films often span diverse genres, showcasing his versatility as a filmmaker.

In addition to directing, Nikkhil Advani is a co-founder of Emmay Entertainment, a production company he established with Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani. The company has been associated with producing several successful films known for their engaging storytelling and social relevance.

Advani’s involvement in various roles within the film industry, including directing and producing, has solidified his position as a key figure in Bollywood.

Apart from his role as a director, he has overseen the production of numerous films crafted by different directors through the Emmay label. These include titles such as Airlift (2016), Lucknow Central (2017), Satyameva Jayate (2018), Baazaar (2018), Marjaavaan (2019), Indoo Ki Jawani (2020), Bell Bottom (2021), and Satyameva Jayate 2 (2021).

During his free time, Advani finds enjoyment in collaborating with Bittu Sahgal and holds a position on the Board of Sanctuary Nature Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to advocating for causes like climate change, biodiversity, nature conservation, and the preservation of tiger populations.

Additionally, he is actively engaged in the restoration of classic films, partnering with Shiven Dungarpur and the Film Heritage Foundation. Furthermore, he teams up with Srila Chaterjee and Mahesh Mathai to curate art house cinema experiences for Baro Film Night. Apart from his professional pursuits, Advani is a devoted soccer enthusiast. He teams up with Sarah White, who serves as the Head of Partnership Marketing – APAC at City Football Marketing, to promote and support Manchester City Football Club within Mumbai.
