Plot
Since she was a young child, Mythili (Reema) has showered her neighbor Vishwa (Bharath) with love and affection. Vishwa is the sole child of wealthy industrialist Rajasekhar (Girish Karnad), who tragically loses his mother when he is young. Mythili spends all of her time with Vishwa, treating him like her little brother.
During an IT raid, Income Tax Inspector Ragunandan (Vishal) shows up at Rajasekhar’s house and meets Mythili. After a string of events, they eventually fall in love, are married in a closed wedding, and eventually relocate to Goa.
When Vishwa travels to Goa in quest of Mythili, chaos starts. He succeeds in capturing her and transporting her to Chennai. As the film goes on, the reasons behind Vishwa’s fixation and possessiveness with Mythili become clear. When Ragunandan returns to Goa, he discovers the house is empty. He finds out that Mythili eloped with Vishwa from the neighbor next door.
After that, he starts looking for her and discovers that they have both gone to Chennai. Chennai is reached by Ragunandan. He makes an effort to locate Mythili with the assistance of his coworker, Income Tax Inspector Harichandra (Vivek). An accidental viewing of the nuptials film reveals Vishwa’s animosity against Ragunandan.
In Ragunandan’s opinion, Mythili’s departure was not voluntary. When he approaches Rajasekhar, he receives no assistance. In the end, he locates Vishwa’s hiding place. Mythili begs Vishwa to set her free. She explains that she can only think of him as a son or younger brother and that she cannot be his wife. The request is ignored.
As the three main characters battle it out in a sensual high seas finale, Mythili strikes Vishwa with the boat’s oars. Mythili goes with him when he unconscious dives into the sea. She is soon saved by Ragunandan. Mythili is remorseful despite having killed Vishwa as a result of her attack on him.
