Indian actor Sampath Ram mainly appears in Tamil-language movies. He is renowned for playing villains.
Ram made his acting debut as a thug in the Doordarshan television program Ethanai Manithargal. In Mudhalvan (1999), he made his acting debut as a police sub-inspector. However, the movie fell short of giving the actor a significant break. Ram managed to recover from a brain injury while filming Dheena (2001). He appeared in various movies as a gangster after Dheena. Twenty years later, Ram appeared in the 2018 film Thimiru Pudichavan in a substantial part. He received praise after Thimiru Pudichavan for his portrayal of an aghori in Kanchana 3. Ram agreed to star in the film Thatrom Thookrom, in which he plays the villain. He plays the lead in Kasa Kasaa, his two hundredth movie.
